Nine People Rescued from Rising Waters at Dickson Apartments

DICKSON, Tenn. -- More than a half-dozen people are rescued in Dickson overnight from high waters.

Seven people were assisted out of the Spring Haven Apartments, 301 Spring Street, at around 2 a.m., when 30" of water inundated the grounds, according to the fire department. Two people slept through it and they were assisted out when the fire department went back at 6:30 a.m.

Firefighters made 8-9 foot bridges out of ladders to get residents out.  No one was injured.

Some residents went to a shelter set up at Walnut Creek Church of Christ.
