Suspect in Madison Bomb Threats Arrested

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- A frozen bank account apparently leads a 20-year-old to make Maidson bomb threat.

Metro police arrest Marquel Harold Tuesday after they say he made the bomb threats at the Walmart and the First Tennessee Bank on North Gallatin Pike on December 30 last year. The calls were made seven hours apart (10:20 a.m. and 5:10 p.m.), according to the affidavit.

Both businesses were evacuated after the bomb threat.

In the calls, Harold is reported as saying, "You have 10 minutes to get everyone out of the store, there's a bomb inside, and "This is a bomb threat, Merry Christmas, b****."

Harold explains to police the call was made to the bank so he wouldn't have to explain to his mother why his bank account was frozen. No word on what prompted the other threat.

Police say Harold has confessed. He is in jail on $50,000 bond for two charges of filing a false report.
