NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- A woman being arrested in south Nashville for vandalism tells police her child is home alone.

Yesterday, Metro police arrest 39-year-old Vicki Manning for vandalism at the Game Stop on Nolensville Road after keying an employee's car, according to the affidavit. The report says she was mad about not being offered a demo product, as well as the victim not acknowledging her friendly advances.

In the process of being arrested, she told police that her 7-year-old boy was home alone, less than two miles away. Police contacted DCS. The child was placed into a relative's custody a couple hours later.

Manning is charged with child neglect, as police believe she put her child in danger had she not mentioned anything to them.
