A new study from Smart Growth America ranks Nashville as the 15th most-dangerous city of pedestrians.

The study evaluated 51 cities and measured pedestrian death statistics from 2003-2012. They compared those stats to data of how many people walked to work and came up with an index number for each city.

Orlando, Florida ranked the most-dangerous, totaling a score of 244.28. Nashville had a score of 11.89. The study says 210 people died in the Nashville Metro area between the dates cited. Among the roads where most deaths occurred were Murfreesboro Pike, Gallatin Pike, Dickerson Rd and Rosa Parks Blvd. between the capitol and I-65.
