Update: Three Critical After Mt. Juliet Head-on Collision

May 7 UPDATE: The victims taken to the hospital in critical condition are identified by police at 22-year-old Justin Odom, 49-year-old Timothy Cole and 43-year-old Tracie Cole. Vanderbilt Medical Center on Thursday morning says Justin is now critical, but stable, while Timothy is stable. They say Tracie has been treated and released.

MT. JULIET, Tenn. -- Three people are in critical condition after a three-car accident in Mt. Juliet.

The head-on collision occurred just before 9 p.m. on Lebanon Road near the little league ball fields. Police say the driver in the pick-up truck lost control and hit an SUV. A car then rear-ended the SUV.

The driver of the pick-up and SUV are in critical condition at Vanderbilt Medical Center, say police. The driver of the car was treated and released.
More information is expected after the investigation is complete.

The roadway was shut down for a couple hours.
