NASHVILLE, Tenn.--A new app is putting a unique spotlight on Music City. "Zombie Slasher:  Nashville by Andy Ross" is combining music city with the world of video games.

Ross stars in the show, "Maximum Archery ," is an avid outdoorsman and also a country singer.

Monster Arts  launched the new app with Ross who also saw success in his Zombie Targets Game.

Marshall Covert, a video gamer says, " That's really cool. It's good to get different types of media in together. "

Dedicated gamers are even interested in the app, like Chris Mabry.

Areas like Broadway and Marathon Motor Works are just some of the places that provide the backdrop for the action game.

Chris Mabry says," I just like to see the city out in the game. Being a gamer and seeing your city you're like 'hey I recognize that place and this...And zombies that's just kind of cool."

Monster Arts release of zombie Slasher Nashville comes after several other Zombie Slasher Games.

The game may not suit everyone, but many are excited about the interest it brings to Nashville.

Julie Covert, tourist says, " It's fun, there's a lot going on here, why not zombies."

Monster Arts CEO and founder Wayne Irving released in a statement, "We're very excited about development of the new Zombie Slasher(R) Nashville game. This project is an outgrowth of, and takes inspiration from, Andy's appreciation for the vast size of the Zombie paper targets market, his highly enthusiastic fan base, and, more generally, the huge all-ages consumer demand for "Zombie"-oriented entertainment and game products. We think it will be a big hit with some room to grow!"
