"Worst Pedophile in History" Allegedly Drugged, Molested 90 Children

Stream WZTV Fox 17 Newscasts LIVE starting with Fox 17 This Morning at 5am and News at 9pm.

An American teacher and serial sex offender is now believed to have possibly drugged and abused at least 90 students across the globe.

The Daily Beast reports William Vahey, who committed suicide last month in Minnesota after learning the FBI was onto him, left a wave of shocking crimes behind.

Vahey taught at schools in multiple countries and making matters worse is the fact he was first arrested in 1969 for six counts of molestation while serving as a swim teacher in California.

After pleading guilty to one of the counts and serving 90-days, he then moved on to teaching and supervising the children of diplomats and at other high-end schools around the world. Most recently, he was teaching at an American school in Nicaragua, where a thumb drive of his had images of at least 90 boys dating back to 2008. The Daily Beast reports he had been coaching sports teams and leading field trips for more than 30 years previous.

Believed to be among the worst pedophiles in history, one FBI investigator says "I've never seen another case where an individual may have molested this many children over such a long period of time."
