Stream WZTV Fox 17 Newscasts LIVE starting with Fox 17 This Morning at 5am and News at 9pm.

Remington College Nashville Campus is celebrating National Smile Month by offering complimentary dental services for kids.

During the month of May, the Remington College School of Dental Hygiene is offering free basic teeth cleanings for children, as well as ToothPrints.

ToothPrints are a special child identification device that records both bite characteristics and DNA information. Parents receive a wafer with the information imprinted on it. The procedure takes only a few minutes and children as young as 3-4 years of age are usually able to provide an acceptable imprint.

In the past three years, more than 14,000 low or no cost dental services have been provided through Remington College's Dental Hygiene Program in Nashville.

Under the supervision of instructors, students pursuing associate's degrees in dental hygiene perform low-cost procedures for the public, including:

  •     Oral prophylaxis (cleaning) and topical fluoride treatments
  •     X-rays
  •     Scaling and root planing
  •     ToothPrint child identification impressions
  •     Oral cancer screenings
  •     Dental Sealants
