Zachary Rye Adams, the man accused of killing Holly Bobo, was charged Tuesday with an additional charge -- coercion of a witness, according to a press release from the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.

"Through the course of this investigation in recent weeks, additional information was developed that led special agents to secure an arrest warrant today," the release said.

TBI Director Mark Gwyn added: "We will not tolerate any kind of coercion in criminal cases. But in a case like this, which has attracted so much interest and required so many resources, rest assured we will fight hard to protect the integrity of our work, as we seek justice for the family and friends of Holly Bobo."

A spokesperson said Adams had threatened his brother, who is also in jail, through an intermediary.

Adams, 29, had previously been charged with felony first degree murder and especially aggravated kidnapping in connection to the disappearance and murder of Bobo. Adams was served with the warrant Tuesday and was being held in the Chester County Jail without bond.

On the morning of April 13, 2011, Bobo disappeared from her home on Swan Johnson Road in Decatur County.

The TBI urges anyone with information about the Bobo case to call 1-800-TBI-FIND.
