CNN--Ford is recalling 435,000 vehicles for a corrosion issue with subframe's and seat back frames.

Escape SUVs built between 2001 and 2004 are being recalled because of a subframe issue which can cause the lower control arm to separate and potentially lead to steering control issues. The automaker says they are aware of only one crash related to the issue. Most of the recalls are in states where road salt is used during winter.
