Police say Freedman told them she was not coming back for her son because she would just be arrested, when they contacted her via telephone. After attempting to locate Freedman at her residence, which was unsuccessful, CPS took possession of the child. He was later released to a family friend.

Manor Police have obtained an arrest warrant for Freeman's arrest for abandoning or endangering child without intent to return, a third degree felony.
