NASHVILLE, Tenn.-- The Women's Final Four finally happened tonight at Bridgestone Arena, after six years in the making.

The mayor's office estimates that  about 30,000 people came through Nashville for the tournament, bringing in more than $20 million for the city.

Fans were let in Bridgestone around 4 p.m. to watch their favorite team battle it out  for a trip to the championship game. Earlier today, more than 10,000 people went to Tourney Town at Music City Center.

The MCC also housed a basketball clinic run by the UT Lady Vols head coach, Holly Warlick. In an interview only on Fox 17, Warlick says she would rather be playing tonight, but thinks Nashville is the perfect place to host the Women's Final Four.

Holly Warlick explained,"I think its incredible..see people all on the  street ...great walking distance, people are super friendly...a great atmosphere for women's basketball. I  think Nashville and Tennessee appreciate women's basketball."

The Music City Final Four organizers say everything is running smoothly so far, and the championship game is already sold out.
