Arrest Made in 80 lb. Confiscation of High-grade Pot

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- An arrest is made in a 2012 Nashville drug bust where almost 80 lbs. of pot and $90,000 were confiscated.

Danny Hopkins, 54, is in the Davidson County Jail after police seized approximately 69 lbs. of high grade marijuana from a storage unit at 3630 Murphy Road in west Nashville and about 10 lbs. from his residence on Forrest Green Drive in Green Hills on January 30, 2012, according to the Metro police affidavit.

Hopkins was stopped for a traffic violation on that day in 2012 also with $71,000 - $11,000 of which were his proceeds from drug sales. Police also found $20,000 at his home.

Hopkins is charged with money laundering and marijuana charges. His bond is set at $125,000.
