UPDATE: Missing 7-Year-Old Nashville Girl Found

UPDATE (10:21 p.m.): Missing 7-year-old Nashville girl has been found. She is back home.

UPDATE (10 p.m.): Police believe she may have run away because she was spanked at school.

ORIGINAL STORY:

Metro Police officers were searching Tuesday evening for a missing 7-year-old child in the J.C. Napier community, according to a department press release.

The girl, Christieon Gatlin, was last seen in the area of Lewis and Robertson Streets. She left Napier Elementary School at 4 p.m. Her mother was late to their regular meeting place in the courtyard. Police were notified Christieon was missing at 5:40 p.m. and have been looking for her since then.

Christieon was wearing a red polo shirt and khaki pants. She is 4 feet 7 inches tall and weighs 45 pounds. Her hair is in two ponytails.

No indication of foul play has been reported to the police. Anyone who sees Christieon or knows her whereabouts is urged to call the Emergency Communications Center at 862-8600.
