Hendersonville Man Arrested for Stabbing Girlfriend Multiple Times

HENDERSONVILLE, Tenn. - Police say a Anthony Carpenter, 53, of Hendersonville has been charged with stabbing his live-in girlfriend multiple times at their Monthaven Park Place home Sunday night. Officers tell us they got a call from her around 6:45pm saying he had stabbed her. Mr. Carpenter was found later at a Day's in in Cave City, Kentucky. Carpetner is being held right now at the Barren County Jail where he was charged with being a fugitive from justice. We're told he is awaiting extradition back to Sumner County. A court date has not yet been scheduled. Carpenter's girlfriend was taken to Vanderbilt Hospital and is in critical but stable condition.
