Stream WZTV Fox 17 Newscasts LIVE starting with Fox 17 This Morning at 5am and News at 9pm.

Carrie Underwood and Miley Cyrus made Time's list of 100 most influential people on the planet. The list includes Pope Francis, Megyn Kelly and Vladimir Putin.

Underwood rose to fame after winning "American Idol" in 2005. Brad Paisley wrote her entry for the magazine.

"Shes a prolific songwriter, a trendsetter and an Opry member," he wrote. "But its her decency as a person that is so impressive. Shes an advocate for causes like animal rights and the Red Cross. She has publicly challenged lawmakers when shes disagreed with them, and covered controversial issues in her music. She can sing the fire out of a song and tell a joke."

Dolly Parton wrote Cyrus' entry.

She wrote: "The girl can sing. The girl is smart. And she doesnt have to be so drastic. But I will respect her choices. I did it my way, so why cant she do it her way?"
