A wintry mix is falling this morning in middle TN. It could cause problems in the morning commute. Temperatures around the freezing mark could cause some slick spots to form with freezing rain, sleet and some rain mixed with snow through 10AM.

Almost 3,000 NES Customers in Various Locations Without Power

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- NES is experiencing outages as the morning continues. As of 7 a.m., 2,800 NES customers are without power.

Outages began for over 500 customers in Hendersonville after a transformer reportedly caught fire just before 5:30 a.m. Minor outages followed in Whites Creek, Madison and Joelton that raised the NES outages to near 700.

At 6:15 a.m., however, Old Hickory reported 250 outages, before Goodlettsville reported 1,600 without power. Power was also knocked out to 155 customers just before 7:30 a.m.

MTEMC is reporting 1,100 customers without power in the 8 O'Clock hour in Christiana in Rutherford County.
