"Operation Golden Eagle" will encompass more than 40 helicopters, more than 20 sling load missions and more than 1,100 Soldiers. The participants will conduct a combined-arms exercise that showcases the Division's ability to with react speed, surprise, and lethality.

This operation at Fort Campbell will also validate the standards and procedures of the Division's `Gold Book' that defines the Army's standards of Air Assault operations. Soldiers from 3rd Brigade Combat Team "Rakkasans" and the 101st Combat Aviation Brigade "Wings of Destiny," will conduct the exercises.

The training mission is scheduled for Tuesday, but could be moved to Wednesday in the event of inclement weather.
