NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- They're on opposite sides of the world, but a church in Smyrna and a man in India are connected by their faith and their mission of helping kids in need.

Grace Christian Assembly Church has been sending money to the Life Givers Childrens Home in India for three years, said Jim McClarty, pastor.

It's a home for Christian boys from 4 to 14 years of age, who are growing up in a predominantly Hindu nation.

"We love brother Jim who was really compassionate for the children here," said "Bobby" Masilamani, the home's founder.  "It is my personal belief that prayers can work better than anything."
