Nashville, TN--A Pizza Store Manager found himself at the center of last night's deadly police shooting.  Metro Police chased Aaron Smith on Friday after he carjacked a person and ended up off Elliston Place.

It started when the suspect Aaron Smith broke in a car and stole a purse at the Gingerbread Daycare.  Smith then went to Americas Motor Sports located at the 900 block of 8th Avenue South and bought a few items from that business.

Smyrna Police Officer went to Americas Motor Sports to look at the surveillance video when Smith walked into the store.  The officer recognized him and started to speak, when Smith pulled out a gun and waved it around at the officer.

Smith then carjacked a person and rode off.  Metro Police chased Smith through out the area until the suspect pulled into a garage near the Baptist Hospital and ran on foot.

Metro Police Officers cornered Smith  in a shopping center at the 2400 block of Elliston Place where Smith pulled out a gun and officer fired at the suspect where he died on the scene.
