NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Metro's Downtown Police Precinct is no longer at Bridgestone Arena. It's now in the heart of SoBro. The new Central Precinct is twice as large as its space at the arena. The city spent $4 million on the building located right across from the new Music City Center. The Central Precinct serves the area inside the downtown loop and often utilizes cameras to help keep residents and visitors safe. The Central Precinct has a staff of 122 police officers. Another new precinct is now under construction in the 12th Avenue South area.
