Are you a Gmail user? According to Google's official blog, starting today, your emails will use an encrypted HTTPS connection when sending or receiving email. Basically, it means nobody should be able to "listen in on your messages as they go back and forth between you and Gmails serversno matter if you're using public WiFi or logging in from your computer, phone or tablet.

The blog also states 100% of emails are encrypted when moving between Gmail's own servers and Google's data centers.
