A Church Hill, Tenn. woman is accused of driving her car into a church on Sunday and stabbing her husband at the altar, according to press reports, because he was "worshiping the NASCAR race at Bristol."

Stephanie Faye Hamman, 23, told police God told her to drive her car through the doors of Providence Church. She also said she was mad at her husband for "worshiping" NASCAR and that the devil was inside her, giving her bad ideas.

According to Police Chief Mark Johnson, after Hamman drove into the church, she called her husband. When he arrived, she stabbed him, got back in the car and fled. Hamman was found 20 minutes later at the hospital.
