GOODLETTSVILLE, Tenn. - 2 young kids found playing in traffic and flipping off drivers. Where were their parents? Their father's in jail charged with neglect, and the story gets worse. Police found him passed out drunk in a nearby motel with an infant at his side. The kids are safe with their mother, but they could have been killed. They were staying with their father in the motel, but witnesses say they were out playing in the middle of Rivergate Parkway. Waitresses who were working on the patio of Hooters saw the whole thing and called 911. It was a packed house at Hooters Saturday night when customers and waitresses noticed something very out of the ordinary on the busy side street.

Not only were the kids playing in the street, but they were giving passing drivers the middle finger. It was dangerous and disrespectful. When Goodlettsville Police arrived, they followed the 5 year old girl and 4 year old boy up to their motel room and couldn't believe what they saw. According to reports, police found the kids' father, 28 year old Dustin King, passed out drunk with an 8 month old baby strapped in a car seat nearby. Police woke King up and arrested him right there in his motel room. He's now in the Davidson County Jail charged with 3 counts of Child Neglect.

King allegedly told police he could not control his kids and had been drinking and sleeping inside his motel room for several hours. The Department of Children Services filed a report.
