Freeze Warning, Cumberland Plateau Advisory

Winter-like conditions will be possible for middle Tennessee this weekend. A freeze warning is in effect for Friday and Saturday night. Temperatures will drop to around the freezing mark in Nashville and upper 20s outside the metro area. Saturday night will be even colder with temperatures dropping as low as the mid-20s outside the metro. Breezy NW winds will add to the chill. In addition to the cold, rain showers along the Cumberland Plateau will change over to light snow overnight.

Downtown Nashville Assault Suspect Injured By K9, Arrested

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- K9 apprehends one of two suspects in an aggravated robbery.

The male victim was approached and robbed at Broadway and 3rd Avenue South at 1 a.m. by two suspects with a knife, according to Metro Police. The victim followed one suspect when the two parted. Police were able to arrest that suspect.

The second suspect was spotted by a cab driver. The suspect  jumped a fence at Almond and Peabody, but K9 apprehended him. The suspect went to General Hospital for minor injuries.

Police say the incident stemmed from an argument over money.
