BOWLING GREEN, Kentucky - Trying to solve the mystery at the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Car fans returned to the museum a day after a massive sink hole swallowed precious classic cars. Now the search is on for the cause and how to repair the damage. Engineers have one popular theory: the shape of the sky dome may be to blame. Think of all the rain and ice we've been seeing lately. All that water runoff slopes off and pools up on the ground below, weighting the ground down until it caves. The story here? 8 classic corvettes on display 30ft underground in a massive sink hole. It's a dramatic sight, enough to bring Jessica Miller to tears. Before leaving work Tuesday night, Miller got an eerie feeling.

While 8 classic cars are sitting underground, staff there is just glad the sink hole didn't swallow the entire vintage collection. All the cars that were not damaged in the sink hole were in the sky dome, including the world's only 1983 Corvette. Now engineers are in the process of figuring out how to pull the cars out. So how are they going to get the cars out?

There's discussion about using a crane and taking panels out, pulling the cars out through the side or possibly go in through the roof. The museum believes these cars can be saved.
