FRANKLIN, Tenn. -- A man reportedly approached two young girls and offered them a ride.
The incident happened at the intersection of Lexington Parkway and Essex Park Circle in the Franklin Farms subdivision on Wednesday morning. Franklin police say the two nine year-old girls report a man, in a green or gold cube-shaped vehicle, rolled down his car window and asked if they were going to school and wanted a ride. The girls walked off in the opposite direction.
Though the man's intentions are unclear, extra patrols have been ordered in and around Franklin schools.
The man is described as 40-50 years of age, bald, with a 2" gray goatee and a mole on his face. He was wearing a t-shirt and smoking a cigarette.
Anyone with information is asked to call Franklin police at 794-2513.
