NASHVILLE, TN - From the Fox 17 Skywatch Weather Center:  Bitter cold and wind temperatures could pose a danger beginning Sunday evening.

Meteorologist Craig Edwards says while the winter weather advisory for Middle TN has been cancelled, temperatures will be dropping about 6-7 degrees per hour through the night, ending at 3 degrees by 7am.

Wind chill temperatures will be between 10 to 20 degrees BELOW ZERO by Monday morning.

Frostbite in people and pets can occur in as little as 30 minutes with windchill readings at -18 degrees or colder.

Due to rain that will freeze overnight, car doors, windshield wipers and sidewalks may freeze as well.  Black ice could also be an issue on roads and interstates.

These freezing temperatures are expected to linger in our area for the next 3 days.
