Freeze Warning, Cumberland Plateau Advisory

Winter-like conditions will be possible for middle Tennessee this weekend. A freeze warning is in effect for Friday and Saturday night. Temperatures will drop to around the freezing mark in Nashville and upper 20s outside the metro area. Saturday night will be even colder with temperatures dropping as low as the mid-20s outside the metro. Breezy NW winds will add to the chill. In addition to the cold, rain showers along the Cumberland Plateau will change over to light snow overnight.

Predators Holding School Supply Drive Tomorrow

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - The Nashville Predators are hosting a school supply drive to benefit an organization that helps the hearing impaired.


Prior to the 6 p.m. home game at Bridgestone Arena on Saturday, volunteers will be collecting supplies for Bridges, formerly the League for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing and EAR Foundation.


The organization provides after school programs for the deaf and hard of hearing.


Organizers say items needed include: crayons, glue, pencils, colored pencils and calculators.
