A new study says people who are religious take fewer sick days, are less stressed, anxious and are healthier overall.

The research was conducted by a senior psychologist at the Health and Safety Lab in Stockport, UK who believes the study could also pay off for employers. Though normally a subject which is avoided in the workplace here in the states, Dr. Roxane Gervais believes if employers allow for a more spiritual workplace, production and employee happiness could improve.

The study comes on the heels of research by Columbia University which says spiritual people have thicker sections of the brain's cortex which helps combat depression.
