Kentucky Officer's Slaying Could Be Linked to Road Rage Shooter

Stream Fox 17 newscasts LIVE starting with Fox 17 This Morning at 5 am and News at 9 pm.

FOX News--Kentucky State Police will reach out to Pennsylvania authorities in an effort to see if there is a connection between the current road-rage killing and the murder of Kentucky officer Jason Ellis in Bardstown on May 25th.

Ellis was shot along Blue Grass Parkway while removing debris from the road. He was shot multiple times by a 12-gauge shotgun.

The roadside killing bears some similarities to Saturday's murder of Timothy Davison, 28, of Poland, Maine. Davison was making the 1,400-mile trip home after spending the holidays with family members in Orlando, Fla., when he was shot to death early Saturday by an unknown person along I-81 in Pennsylvania in what authorities are calling a random and vicious road rage attack.
