NASHVILLE, Tenn.--If you are craving Christmas year-round, there is a place in South Nashville that might fill the void.

Santa's Pub off Bransford Avenue, is double-wide trailer with Santa murals all over the exterior. Denzel "Santa" Irwin has owned the bar for almost three years. Irwin was a painter for 40 years. About three years ago, he found himself retiring and his favorite bar closing.

Denzel "Santa" Irwin said, " I played Santa for about 10 years and when I bought the bar I had a 42-inch waist because I was on the other side of the bar drinking beer instead of on this side selling it. "

Irwins close resemblance to a modern-day Santa Claus played a part in his bar's theme.

Irwin explained, "I just like Christmas. Why not have it year round?"

All year long, Santa's Pub only serves beer and only takes cash. There are a few rules like :"no cussing or smoking on the karaoke floor," but there is plenty of fun. Karaoke is provided seven-nights a week. 365-days a year.

The Christmas decorations are never taken down and welcome hundreds of residents and tourists each week. Many times you will even see a celebrity.   Like Mumford and Sons and Ke$ha.

Irwin added, "She got glitter in my beard...I didn't know who she was. I had to Google her."

Former American Idol contestant , Kree Harrison frequents the bar too. She is also a former Santa's Pub bartender.

Irwin said, "She don't have to bartend no more, but she still comes in we let her bar tend last week. She said 'I feel back home', she's a sweet girl."

Bartender, Tara Wepking says, "The people that come here, they're the best kind of people and we're lucky enough that they seem to want to come back every night."

Tara Wepking and Colleen Callis were once customers and are now working at Santa's Pub. They continue to watch the bar grow in popularity. Santa's Pub was named "The #1 Dive Bar in America" by Maxim magazine this month.

Colleen Callis says, " I'm really glad Santa got that because he deserves it. He's worked so hard on this and is making people happy."

Irwin said, " I never advertised, just word of mouth. Everybody's jolly and in a good mood, they're having fun."

Santa also gives back. Irwin provided Christmas and presents for under-privileged children this weekend. Santa's Pub will be celebrating its three-year anniversary this March.
