Freeze Warning, Cumberland Plateau Advisory

Winter-like conditions will be possible for middle Tennessee this weekend. A freeze warning is in effect for Friday and Saturday night. Temperatures will drop to around the freezing mark in Nashville and upper 20s outside the metro area. Saturday night will be even colder with temperatures dropping as low as the mid-20s outside the metro. Breezy NW winds will add to the chill. In addition to the cold, rain showers along the Cumberland Plateau will change over to light snow overnight.

Local Fast Food Workers Strike for Higher Pay

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Local fast food workers want to have it their way tonight. What they want is higher pay. Several dozen fast food workers took that message to the streets of Nashville this morning. The demonstration was part of a national effort to get their pay increased to at least $15/hour. The workers say they currently can't make ends meet. The fast food workers say they can't save money on their current pay, and just buying the essentials drains almost all the money they make. The National Restaurant Association claims the demonstrations are a coordinated pr campaign by national labor groups.
