A bigger turnout than ever was expected for the Donelson-Hermitage parade today when winter weather wouldn't stand in the way.

Hundreds of people lined up and marching bands took their spot.

An event like this is nothing new for McGavock High School students, warming up for the 29th annual Donelson-Hermitage Christmas parade.

Keeping your hands warm on a day like this Saturday, braving temperatures below freezing, was worth it to have a parade.

No regrets from those marching the mile-long route.

Yule Fest in Mansker's Station was cancelled for the evening and the Christmas tree lighting was moved up to 4-pm.

Those here in this parade are living in the moment.

Organizers expected a better turnout than in years past if for no other reason than the cancellation of Nashville's parade Friday.

Tonight, Murfreesboro is planning to continue with its parade at 2-pm Sunday.
It'll start at the intersection of Middle Tennessee Boulevard and East Main and will end on Walnut Street.
