Suspect in Rocketown Break-in Arrested, Identified

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- A 21-year-old allegedly stole the cash register from a popular Nashville hangout.

Metro Police responded to an alarm at the main building of Rocketown at 601 4th Avenue South after 3 a.m. Monday. When they arrive they found the door smashed with a brick.

The suspect was quickly apprehended and the register recovered when police say Dontraveous Williams tried to escape through a construction site. Williams is charged with burglary, theft, vandalism, trespassing, resisting and evading arrest and assault of an officer, when Williams tried to kick the officer. He is being held on $31,000 bond.

Rocketown was founded in 1994 by Michael W. Smith. It features three stages for live entertainment, Middle Tennessees only indoor skatepark, The Hub snack bar, a recording studio, and photography, art and dance studios.
