NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Metro Police bust a fraudulent money order scam that's been going on in Nashville for three weeks.

Beaman Grimsley is booked in the Davidson County Jail after attempting to cash two fraudulent $500 Western Union money orders at the Goodlettsville Kroger on North Creek Blvd., according to the police report.

After being questioned, the 56-year-old told police that he rides to Nashville from Georgia every three weeks with several people. He says a man gives him four fraudulent money orders and for every $1,000 cashed, he would get $300.

Grimsley is being held on $30,000 bond for criminal simulation.
