Stream Fox 17 newscasts LIVE starting with TN Mornings at 5 am and News at 9 pm.

MANCHESTER, Tenn. -- Some are wondering about a flash of light over the southern middle Tennessee skies Tuesday night.
Officials at the Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville say a baseball-size fragment of a comet entered Earth's atmosphere above Alabama at 8:18 p.m. Central Time on Monday, reports the Associated Press. The NASA flight center has a camera in Tullahoma that captured some of the event on video.
NASA says the meteor traveled at 76,000 mph and disintegrated seconds into hitting the Earth's atmosphere somewhere above Woodstock, Alabama.
