Freeze Warning, Cumberland Plateau Advisory

Winter-like conditions will be possible for middle Tennessee this weekend. A freeze warning is in effect for Friday and Saturday night. Temperatures will drop to around the freezing mark in Nashville and upper 20s outside the metro area. Saturday night will be even colder with temperatures dropping as low as the mid-20s outside the metro. Breezy NW winds will add to the chill. In addition to the cold, rain showers along the Cumberland Plateau will change over to light snow overnight.

A winter weather advisory is in effect until 9 a.m. for everyone but eight counties in middle Tennessee (Stewart, Benton, Houston, Humphreys, Dickson, Cheatham, Montgomery and Robertson). Before midnight Monday, sleet fell in many areas and turned to snow Tuesday morning.
Stay tuned to FOX 17 This Morning from 5-9 a.m. on the latest, road conditions, weather and school closings. The National Weather Service predicts up to an inch of snow. Southeastern middle Tennessee counties are subject to some ice accumulation.
