Winter-Like Conditions Expected this Weekend

Winter-like conditions will be possible for middle Tennessee this weekend.  A freeze warning is in effect for Friday and Saturday night.  Temperatures will drop to around the freezing mark in Nashville and upper 20s outside the metro area.  Saturday night will be even colder with temperatures dropping as low as the mid-20s outside the metro.  Breezy NW winds will add to the chill.  Bring plants and pets indoors for the weekend and make sure outdoor vegetation is protected as well.In addition to the cold, rain showers along the Cumberland Plateau will change over to light snow overnight.

Country Star Ray Price Passes Away

UPDATE (5:15pm CST): Ray Price has passed away according to family spokesperson Bill Mack who posted the following to his Facebook page

"JANIE JUST CALLED ME:

RAY PRICE LEFT FOR HEAVEN AT 4:43 PM CENTRAL TIME. HE WENT IN PERFECT PEACE. DETAILS LATER. JANIE AND THE FAMILY SO GRATEFUL FOR YOUR PRAYERS. RAY'S BODY WILL BE RECEIVED AT RESTLAND FUNERAL HOME IN DALLAS. "


EARLIER: Despite reports to the contrary, country music star Ray Price did not pass away yesterday. The reports arose after Price's son Clifton wrote he believed his father had passed. However, Clifton took to his Facebook page to state he had "been deceived" by some some "cruel people." While Price is still alive, his son says he is "barely hanging on."

Janie Price cleared the air with a statement Price was still alive and added legend Willie Nelson had called and was able to say goodbye last night. 

MT. PLEASANT, Texas - An update on Country Music Hall of Famer Ray Price. Monday we told you Price was back in the hospital for a serious blood infection. He was already battling pancreatic cancer. Price is back at home on his ranch in Mt. Pleasant, Texas tonight under hospice care. His wife Janie posted a message on Facebook today asking fans to please keep Ray in your prayers.

Price's hits include "For the Good Times", "Crazy Arms" and "Heartaches by the Numbers".
