There's an opportunity for a light snow dusting in the Middle Tennessee area overnight, with the most being a possible half inch to 1 inch on the Highland Rim and the Plateau. Be cautious on roads. They will be icy in spots. Tune in to FOX 17 News at 4:30am for the latest.

NWS: Confirms Tornado Hits Lincoln County

Lincoln County, Tenn-- The National Weather Service confirms a weak tornado touched down Sunday night in Lincoln County. The EF-0 twister hit about 6 miles northwest of Fayetteville.

The NWS says winds hit 85 miles per hour. The storm took off a small porch, blew off siding and snapped several trees. Fortunately no one was hurt.

Three confirmed tornadoes hit the Mid-State during Sunday's outbreak across the Mid-West. The other local tornadoes touched down in Robertson and Sumner Counties. The twisters caused minor damage , but no one was hurt.

The NWS says a total of 80 tornadoes hit across several mid-west states killing at least 8 people.
