NASHVILLE, Tenn. A man is in jail after being found in a Vanderbilt University administration building last night.

Security found 39-year-old Harry Hernandez sitting at a computer during a building check of the Peabody administration building on 21st Avenue South after 11 p.m., according to Metro Police. The building was closed at the time for the Thanksgiving holiday and a proxy access card is needed to enter.

Hernandez told security that he is not affiliated with the university, that he is homeless and that a student let him in. He had no valid reason to give for his being there.

Security found three knives in Hernandez backpack a 6 blade, a 4 blade and a box cutter. He says they are for hunting.

Hernandez is in the Davidson County Jail on $5,000 bond on charges of trespassing and carrying a weapon on school property.
