OLD HICKORY, TN - The community is buzzing with two more incidents of property damage.

A storage unit with hundreds of thousands of dollars in other people's belongings is reduced to ashes this morning, just days after a fire at a sonic across the street.

Travis Hamer and his friend, Chris Gill, slowly drive past Vanguard Secure Storage, the most recent business to burn this week.

They're among many who can't get over the hardships this community has faced in fires alone.

The Sonic across the street on Martingale Lane is still blocked with caution tape, closed for business, after a grease fire broke out there early Wednesday morning.

The only things that appear to remain in these storage units are ashes from campers, boats and trailers it once housed.

A clean-up crew is on site Saturday to clear the remains of what was once about a 10,000 square foot facility.

Though no one was injured, the timing of this tragedy couldn't be worse, less than five weeks before Christmas.

This is on the heels of the 10 year mark when juveniles burned the 60-year old strip mall to the ground in March 2004, destroying 11-businesses and causing 3 and a half million dollars in damages.

It's on the minds of Old Hickory residents who are starting to feel their community may be fire-proned.

Travis Hamer says, "Perfect example of throwing salt in your wounds."

There's no word yet on the cause of the storage building fire.

We're told the facility was fully engulfed in flames by the time fire crews got there after 11:20pm.
