SMYRNA, Tenn. -- A possible explosive found in a Smyrna neighborhood turns out to be a false alarm.

A teenager playing in a wooded area at around 1:30 p.m. at the 3000 block of Rocky Fork Road found what was described as an old ordinance on Saturday afternoon. The Tennessee Highway Patrol bomb squad responded and identified the device at around 5 p.m. as a grease gun.

An undetonated artillery shell was found in the same area on March 21.
