A Minnesota bus driver from the town of Burnsville was fired for leading children in Christian prayer on his bus.

According to the StarTribune, George Nathaniel was told by his bus company to stop the practice but he considered it a violation of his freedom of speech. Nathaniel is also a pastor.

The company re-assigned his routes, which include a junior high school and an elementary school. The driver says that despite having his routes changed and being given warnings, he wasn't going to stop. As more complaints rolled in, the company decided to part ways.

Nathaniel would start out with a song and then let each child pray if they chose to. However, the fact his actions were with a captive audience is considered a violation of the Establishment Clause of the First Ammendment.
