NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Metro Police say South Precinct detectives and the FBIs Violent Crimes Task Force are working to identify the man who at 10:30 a.m. today robbed a Loomis armored vehicle employee outside the Wal-Mart in the 5800 block of Nolensville Pike.

We're told the employee exited the Wal-Mart after receiving a deposit bag from the store.  Before the employee reached the armored vehicle, the suspect pepper sprayed him in the face and grabbed the deposit bag.  The suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of cash in an early 2000s silver Pontiac Sunfire.

Police tell us the robber is a white man with a brown beard.  He is approximately 6' tall and weighs approximately 210lbs.  He wore a black ball cap and sunglasses.

Anyone recognizing the robber from the accompanying surveillance photos is urged to contact Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME.  Citizens can also send an electronic tip to Crime Stoppers by texting the word CASH along with their message to 274637 (CRIMES) or online at www.nashvillecrimestoppers.com.  Persons who contact Crime Stoppers by phone, text or Internet can remain anonymous and qualify for a cash reward.
