SMYRNA, Tenn. -- A water main break in Smyrna that closed businesses Saturday afternoon is in the process of being repaired.

At 6:30 p.m., Mark Parker with Smyrna Utilities says that water has just been turned back on to customers, which will allow the restaurants to be able to get back into service.

The 1:30 p.m. water main break on Chaney Road at Sam Ridley Parkway
shutdown numerous businesses, including Logan's, Sonic and Panera Bread.

It was unknown how many customers or businesses were affected, except a "bunch," according to Parker.

Parker says crews could be working until midnight, as they are just now unearthing the problem.
