Stream Fox 17 newscasts LIVE starting with TN Mornings at 5 am and News at 9 pm.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- A vigil is tonight for a boy electrocuted in south Nashville.

The vigil for 9-year-old Christopher Ellison will be at Robert Churchwell Magnet Elementary School at 7 p.m. He died after coming in contact with a live downed wire on Halloween night at the 500 block of Charles E. Davis.

Anyone who wishes to help the family out with burial costs, donations can be mailed or dropped off at 2203 Buchanan Street. Napier Elementary, where Ellison had started school just last week, is collecting money for Ellison's family and funeral arrangements. Anyone interested in donating can contact the school.

Visitation for Ellison is Wednesday at Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church on Herman Street at 11 a.m. The funeral is at noon.

NES says 50 downed wires were reported last Thursday when storms rolled through middle Tennessee.
