NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Terminator the Second  is a Nashville-based project that tells the story of Terminator 2: Judgment Day through the words of William Shakespeare.

The script is written using only lines and phrases of original Shakespeare plays, said Marshall Weber, who wrote and produced the project. "We changed out some of the proper nouns, pronouns, verb tenses when necessary to completely tell the story of Terminator 2."

Now, Terminator the Second is becoming a movie.  Weber says adapting it to film wasn't nearly as tedious as writing the original play

It took about nine months, Weber said.  Break it down, mix it all up, change around the nouns and the pronouns and eventually you have the story of Terminator 2"

Weber says the budget for the project came from micro-donations from across the world.

"We used a very unique website, kickstarter.com," Weber said.

Kickstarter is a crowd-source funding website where anyone can donate to fund creative projects.

"It levels the playing field, Weber said.  It makes it so you don't have to have the backing of some producer that has connections in L.A. or New York or something.

Instead private donors from as far away as the Philippines raised more than $10,000 dollars a single month.

Without the internet and the advent of kickstarter.com, I don't think it could have been possible, said Jamie Bradley, the actress who played John Connor.

Producers plan to release the film for digital download November 1st.
