Stream Fox 17 newscasts LIVE starting with TN Mornings at 5 am and News at 9 pm.

A warning for Nashville Electric customers. A new scam is circulating targeting small businesses. A scam artist calls threatening to cut off the power unless businesses pay-up. A bartender at the Bikini Beach are in Antioch received one of those phony calls a couple weeks ago
"He said that we had forty-five minutes to come up with our past due balance or they were on their way to cut the power off" said Donna Hedgepath.

Nashville Electric says if you're in jeopardy of getting your power disconnected, or your bills are overdue-- you'll have plenty of notice before the company takes action. If you think you've received one of these calls, tell NES and your local police department.
