Freeze Warning, Cumberland Plateau Advisory

Winter-like conditions will be possible for middle Tennessee this weekend. A freeze warning is in effect for Friday and Saturday night. Temperatures will drop to around the freezing mark in Nashville and upper 20s outside the metro area. Saturday night will be even colder with temperatures dropping as low as the mid-20s outside the metro. Breezy NW winds will add to the chill. In addition to the cold, rain showers along the Cumberland Plateau will change over to light snow overnight.

16-year-old Girl Killed in Giles County Accident

PULASKI, Tenn. -- A 16-year-old is killed in Giles County.

Makenzie Myers, 16, of Pulaski was killed after being involved in a two-car accident just before 5 p.m. last night on U.S. Hwy. 64 at Big Dry Creek Road, according to the Tennessee Highway Patrol. The two occupants of the other car are uninjured.

The report says the car driven by Myers pulled into the path of the other car. Speed nor alcohol are thought to be factors.
